About Jenn
I am based in Houston, TX with Austin roots. I have recently left a 15+ year career in expatriate tax and analytics to pursue my artistic passions, rediscovering dreams that had been buried by society’s expectations since my 20s. I had lost myself in the corporate world, and now, to have my young twin boys so proudly engaged in my artistic profession is an unexpected gift.
My artwork does not begin with any concrete vision, but ends in an expression of my real feelings and experiences. The artistic process allows me to share my multi-faceted self: “sophistication with a hint of chaos”. I find most joy working on large scale pieces which have the room to tell complex stories and use heavy, layered texture, thus allowing my collectors to have their own expansive artistic experience.
My Medium
I work with various mediums layered on top of one another to create complex texture and varied sheen. Each piece of work starts with careful transparent strokes, followed by bold layers of texture, and ending with unexpected vibrant pops of color through splatter and poured paint.
